Rhinos pick up more honors

From our good friend Marty Bartram…

Spring Break continued to affect tournament numbers across the state on April 18, but the Rhinos that were available headed out to compete in two separate events.

Samuel Bartram and James Haworth placed first and third respectively at the TITAN OPEN in Greenville.

Kyle Narburgh continued his win streak by winning the 119-pound high school division at the DRAGON’S DEN RUMBLE at Douglas Byrd.

This Saturday, several Rhinos will head to Salisbury to compete in the Rowan Open, while several others will travel to Ohio to compete in the Ohio Tournament of Champions.

On May 1-3, the Rhinos will be back in full force at Mat Madness 09; the Greco Roman State Championships, the Freestyle State Championships and the Snakebite National Duals at the Crown Arena right here in beautiful Fayetteville.

Please come on out to the arena and watch the absolute best wrestlers in the state compete in three styles of wrestling.

Nice job Rhino wrestlers. Congrats and keep improving in your discipline and dedication. Win or lose, these kids are a class act. I encourage all wrestling fans to attend local tournaments and watch these kids in action. Support the local sports programs that give our kids alternatives to bad influences.
