Kyle Narburgh

Thanks to our friend Marty Bartram for sending this in…

Over this past Memorial Weekend, over 1450 wrestlers from the nine states that make up the Southeast Region for USA Wrestling gathered in Duluth, Ga., for the Southeast Kids, Cadets and Juniors Greco Roman and Freestyle Festival. This is the last major event on the road to the National Championships in Fargo, N.D., in July.

Six members of the Rhino Wrestling Club participated in the festival this weekend. Kyle Narburgh (Junior 112) led the Rhinos by winning the Greco Roman championship, shown in the picture above, and placing second in the Freestyle championship. Samuel Bartram (Schoolboy 91), Kiernan (KC) Hunt (Cadet 112), Calvin Hinton (Cadet 125), Jason Materne (Cadet 140), and Darius Delgado (Junior 140) competed in the tournament along with Kyle.

Video of the tournament will be available at

Full results for the team are available below.

The Rhinos received another reason to celebrate this weekend as Rhino alumni and Union Pines High School Senior, Trey Weliver verbally committed to the University of Indianapolis over the weekend. Trey expects to sign his national letter of intent this week.
