Opening day shots

September 21, 2009

Thanks to Maryann Crenshaw, we have some pictures from the opening round of soccer games over in Stedman.

She, of course, sent some Stedman ones.

And she was also nice enough to take a few of the folks from Eastover.

Feeling hot, hot, hot…

May 28, 2008

It was a tad warm Tuesday in Stedman. That’s a little like saying that the price of gas is a tad high…

Anyway, enough complaining from me. We’ve got pictures and video from three games – Colts and Red Sox, Angels and (Eastover) Tigers and the Marlins and Swampdogs.

The video from the Stedman and Eastover teams, as well as the Stedman pictures, are on the Stedman page.

The pictures of the Eastover Tigers are, you guessed it, on the Eastover page.

We’d still love to get pictures and video from you. Send them to me at

More from Eastover

May 14, 2008

You’ve got to hand it to the folks over at Eastover.

They’ve got this whole sharing pictures thing down cold.

Erin McDaniel sent us a bunch of pictures from Opening Day over at Eastover.

Want to see them? Go here.

Saturday Baseball

May 10, 2008

Made a trek out to Eastover Saturday morning.

One of the games involved the Stedman Dodgers, who interestingly enough, were wearing uniforms that said “Braves.”

No problem, except they were playing the Eastover Braves.

And they were wearing the same colors. Kind of had the look of an intrasquad scrimmage.

But it was still fun.

Tom Mead sent in some pictures from a couple of Dixie Youth Major games in Eastover recently between Eastover and Stedman squads.

They’re on the Eastover page.

What’s new?

April 23, 2008

We ventured out to Eastover yesterday and caught a little bit of baseball, softball and T-ball.

Check out the Eastover and the Stedman pages for the details.

What to do on a rainy day?

West Fayetteville (484-6140)

Hope Mills (424-4500, option three, then option eight)
